Nickelodeon is a children’s television network that fosters creativity and encourages learning through experimentation. This series of three short animations is created as the bridge animation between multiple TV programs on Nickelodeon. The curious, clumsy, and cute characters love to experiment and try new things. They are here to give the audience a little moment of smile!
Clip Studio Paint, After Effect, Cinema 4D
Process
For some objects, such as the watering hose, I created 3D animations in Cinema 4D, exported them to Clip Studio, and traced over them. I applied a painterly style to the environment and kept the main objects and the characters in simple line drawings, referring to the styles used in some classic cartoons. While I kept the illustrations simple, I paid attention to details of facial expressions and movements to entertain viewers.
